Found on September5th, 2021, Knowing Brain is an Indian, student-run website dedicated to outreach to students who are interested in interdisciplinary nature of the brain and neuroscience, specifically through research, education, innovation, and awareness. Our goal is to educate the youth about the brain and inspire them to engage with brain-related fields.

Ishika Datta

Ishika Datta is an undergraduate sophomore at Amity University, Kolkata, pursuing Biotechnology. She has always been fascinated with neuroscience and aspires to become a clinical neuroscientist. She is particularly interested in neurological disorders and potential treatments for diseases/disorders. She is also interested in the interdisciplinary connections between neuroscience and psychology. As the Founder of Knowing Brain, she aims to bring more people to embrace the fascinations of neuroscience.

Pratyusha Mandal is an undergraduate sophomore at Amity University, Kolkata in the field of Biotechnology. She is aspiring to study neuroscience and build a career as a neuroscientist. Outside the scientific realm, she is concerned about several political issues like ensuring gender equality, secularism, human rights and women and LGBTQ empowerment. She enjoys listening to music, singing, reading, painting and looking at the sky.
